Norppa helps you think for yourself before you use AI. When you open an AI app you chose to block, Norppa asks you to think for 30 seconds first. Your choices keep your lake full and your streak growing, and you can compare weekly points with friends.

Any iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later. Norppa is not available for Android yet.

€3.99 a month or €24.99 a year (prices in your country may differ, and the app always shows the price before you subscribe). The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial: if you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, you pay nothing.

Blocking uses Apple's Screen Time framework, the same one built into iPhone. It lets Norppa show a pause screen when you open the apps you chose. You give the permission once and can take it back any time in iPhone Settings.

No. iOS gives Norppa only anonymous tokens for the apps you choose, so we can't even see which apps they are. Your Screen Time data never leaves your phone. Read more in the Privacy Policy.

The AI apps you open out of habit, for example ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or Perplexity. You choose them yourself in Norppa's settings.

1. Open Norppa and check that the apps you want are still chosen in Settings.
2. Check that Norppa still has Screen Time access in iPhone Settings → Screen Time.
3. Restart your iPhone. Screen Time sometimes needs it after an iOS update.
4. Update iOS and Norppa to the latest versions.

They appear on the same google.com page as normal search results, and iOS can only block whole apps or websites. We'd rather tell you honestly than pretend.

Remove the apps from your list in Norppa's settings, or turn off Norppa's Screen Time access in iPhone Settings → Screen Time. Deleting Norppa also removes all its blocks.

Your streak grows every day you think first. Opening AI after thinking is fine and keeps your streak. Only skipping the thinking breaks it.

A rain day saves your streak once if you skip the thinking. You get one every month.

No. Everything you have earned stays on your lake: reeds, fish, the dock, the sauna and the rest. Only the water level drops, and it fills again as you think first.

No. The lake is a metaphor, not a meter. Estimates of how much water AI uses vary a lot, so we don't count litres. We count the times you thought for yourself.

Open Friends. Share your friend code with the Invite a friend button, or type in your friend's six-character code and tap Add.

A crew is a bigger leaderboard for your class, team or a creator and their followers. Start one in Friends → Crews and share its code. The leaderboard shows the top 50 and your own place.

Tap the friend in your leaderboard and choose Remove friend. To leave a crew, open the crew and tap Leave crew.

Report it in the app: tap the person in the leaderboard → Report. For a crew name, open the crew → Report crew name. You can also email us the name and the crew. We review reports within 24 hours and remove names that break our community rules.

Tap the person in the leaderboard → Block. You won't see each other on leaderboards, and they can't add you as a friend. They aren't told. To undo it, go to Settings → Blocked people.

In Norppa: Settings → Delete account and data. Everything is deleted from our server right away. If you already deleted the app, email us your friend code and we'll delete the account.

Not yet. Your account lives in the app on your old phone. We're working on a way to keep everything when you change phones. Your subscription moves with your Apple ID: open Norppa → Settings → Restore purchases.

On servers in the European Union. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored and for how long.

On your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Norppa → Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Apple handles all payments and refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Open Norppa → Settings → Restore purchases, using the same Apple ID you subscribed with. If that doesn't help, email us.
